The Luxury Evolution of the Third-Generation Range Rover L322

The third-generation Range Rover, launched in 2002, marked a significant change in the history of the iconic 4x4 brand. It was the only model sold under the ownership of Ford, who acquired Land Rover from BMW in 2000. However, most of the design and engineering work was done by BMW before the sale, and the initial versions of the third-generation Range Rover used BMW engines, such as the 4.4-litre V8 petrol and the 3.0-litre inline-six diesel.

Its off-road capability, which was still outstanding, was seldom highlighted or advertised as the focus shifted to the on-road experience and the customers' lifestyle.
