Payments and transaction security
Online payments are handled by specialist payment providers through secure payment systems. JGS4x4 does not receive or store your complete credit or debit card number.
We receive limited transaction information, such as confirmation that payment was authorised, the amount paid, the payment method category and a transaction reference needed to manage the order, refund or payment enquiry.
Klarna
Where Klarna is selected, we provide relevant contact and order details to Klarna so it can assess and provide the chosen payment option.
Klarna handles information under its own privacy policy and may carry out identity, affordability or credit-related checks where applicable to its service.
Google Analytics
Google Analytics may collect information about the way visitors use our website, including pages viewed, approximate location, browser and device type, referral source and interactions with website features.
We use this information in aggregated reports to understand website performance and improve content, navigation and customer experience. Google Analytics is used subject to your applicable cookie choices.
Google Ads
Google Ads may use cookies or similar technologies to record whether an advertisement resulted in a website visit, enquiry or purchase and, where enabled, to support relevant advertising.
Information collected through Google advertising services is handled in accordance with Google’s own privacy terms and your advertising and cookie choices.
Email marketing
JGS4x4 does not currently send regular email newsletters. We have sent newsletters in the past and may offer marketing emails again in the future.
Where marketing emails are offered, we will only send them where we have an appropriate lawful basis. This may be your consent or, where legally permitted, a limited existing-customer basis for marketing similar JGS4x4 products and services.
Every marketing email will provide a clear way to unsubscribe. You may also ask us to stop sending marketing at any time by emailing sales@jgs4x4.co.uk.
Stopping marketing does not prevent us from sending essential messages about an order, payment, delivery, return, warranty or customer-service enquiry.
Customer accounts and guest checkout
Creating an account is optional. Customers who do not wish to create an account may place an order using guest checkout.
An account can make it easier to review orders and manage saved details, but it is not required in order to purchase from JGS4x4.
You are responsible for keeping your account password confidential and should contact us if you believe an account has been accessed without permission.
Account and data deletion
To request closure of your account or deletion of eligible personal information, email sales@jgs4x4.co.uk.
We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Closing an account does not necessarily allow us to erase every related record. We may retain invoices, orders, payments, warranties, disputes and other information where required for legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention or legal-claims purposes.
How long we keep personal information
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including legal, accounting, warranty, security and dispute-resolution requirements.
