The track rod on a Land Rover connects the two front wheels so that they steer together. The track rod has track rod end ball joints at each end and has an adjuster so that the overall length can be lengthened or shortened to adjust the tracking of the wheels. Track rods are vulnerable to getting bent particularly on Land Rover's used for serious off-road adventures.
