Delivery times are not guaranteed
All dispatch and delivery times shown on our website are estimates rather than guarantees. Express Delivery means that the order receives priority in our warehouse and is sent using a faster courier service; it does not mean that delivery on the next day is guaranteed.
Carrier delays, remote locations, severe weather, seasonal demand, address problems and circumstances outside our control can all affect the actual delivery date.

Choosing a Delivery Option
The options displayed at checkout depend on the delivery postcode and the total size, weight and type of products in your basket.
Economy Delivery
Economy Delivery is our lowest-cost option. It is free for eligible orders over £60 to most mainland UK addresses and costs £4.95 for eligible orders under £60.
Orders are sent using Royal Mail Tracked 48 or a suitable courier service with a typical delivery aim of 2–3 working days, depending on the parcel.
Economy orders do not receive priority warehouse processing. They are picked, packed and dispatched after Tracked 24 and Express orders have been completed.
Tracked 24 Delivery
Tracked 24 Delivery costs £6.95 where the service is available and includes priority warehouse processing ahead of Economy orders.
The order will normally be sent using Royal Mail Tracked 24. Parcelforce may be used instead where the parcel’s size, weight or contents make it more suitable.
Tracked 24 is a delivery aim rather than a guaranteed next-day service.
Royal Mail may deliver in some areas on Saturdays, but Saturday delivery is not guaranteed.
Express Delivery
Express Delivery costs £8.95 where the service is available and is our fastest standard delivery option.
Express orders receive the highest warehouse priority and are processed ahead of Economy and Tracked 24 orders.
Orders are sent using the fastest suitable available courier service, normally with a next-working-day delivery aim.
This service is not a guaranteed next-day delivery service. Remote areas usually take longer.
Same-day Dispatch for Stocked Products
Orders for normal stocked products received before 2pm on a working day are normally dispatched on the same day.
Monday to Friday
Orders are dispatched on working weekdays only, excluding bank holidays.
Before and after 2pm
The 2pm cut-off is the time by which stocked orders are normally expected to dispatch that day. We continue processing orders until the carriers arrive, so orders placed after 2pm may still be dispatched the same day where time allows.
No weekend dispatch
Orders are not dispatched from our warehouse on Saturdays or Sundays.
Orders placed after 2pm that cannot be completed before the carriers collect are normally dispatched on the next working day. Orders received at weekends or on bank holidays are normally processed on the next working day.
Weekends and Delivery Days
Delivery estimates are normally calculated in working days from Monday to Friday. Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays are not normally counted as delivery days.
Royal Mail may deliver parcels in certain areas on Saturdays as part of its normal network, but this should not be relied upon when calculating an expected delivery date.
A parcel dispatched on Friday may therefore not arrive until the following working week.
Saturday Delivery
We may be able to arrange a dedicated Saturday courier delivery to certain supported areas for an additional charge.
Saturday delivery must be arranged with us before the order is placed and is subject to the products, postcode and carrier availability.
It is not available for special order-in products, supplier-direct products or dropshipped products.
Special Order-In Products
Products described as special order-in are not held in our normal warehouse stock and cannot be dispatched on the same day that the customer places the order.
The relevant product page will state that additional time should be allowed for the item to reach us from the supplier. The quoted supplier lead time is an estimate and may vary.
Choosing Express Delivery does not shorten the time taken for a special order-in product to arrive from the supplier.
Once the special-order product reaches our warehouse, an order placed using Express Delivery will receive priority during picking, packing and dispatch.
Supplier-Direct and Dropshipped Products
Some large, heavy or specialist products are dispatched directly by one of our suppliers rather than from the JGS4x4 warehouse.
Supplier-direct and dropshipped orders are commonly sent using APC, FedEx or TNT, although the supplier may select another suitable carrier according to the parcel and destination.
These products may have different processing and delivery times and cannot always be upgraded to the normal JGS4x4 Express Delivery service.
Where an order contains both stocked and supplier-direct products, the items may arrive separately, using different carriers and on different days.
Heavy, Bulky and Restricted Products
Large, heavy, bulky or restricted goods may incur an additional delivery charge regardless of the total order value.
Examples may include bumpers, body panels, roof racks, large exhaust components, oils, batteries and other products that require specialist handling.
Any applicable charge will be calculated and shown at checkout before you place or pay for the order.
Remote Areas and Additional Charges
Some Highlands, Islands and other remote postcode areas cost considerably more for carriers to serve and normally take longer to reach.
Free Economy Delivery may not apply to every remote postcode or to every type of product. An additional carrier charge may be applied according to the address and the size, weight or contents of the order.
The exact available services and charges are calculated from the delivery postcode and displayed at checkout before payment.
Live Delivery Calculation at Checkout
Our checkout uses a live shipping system to calculate delivery for the complete order. It considers factors including:
Delivery postcode
Including mainland, remote and excluded postcode areas.
Total parcel weight
Calculated from all products in the basket.
Parcel dimensions
Large products may require a specialist courier service.
Product restrictions
Liquids, aerosols, batteries and other restricted products may have fewer options.
Enter the delivery address during checkout to see all services available for the order. The full delivery charge is shown before you commit to placing or paying for the order.
There are no additional delivery charges added after checkout unless the address or order information supplied by the customer is incorrect or subsequently changed.
Main delivery partners
Royal Mail, DPD and Parcelforce
For orders dispatched from the JGS4x4 warehouse, we select the most appropriate available carrier according to the service chosen and the size, weight, destination and contents of the order.
Used mainly for suitable small and medium parcels.
Used for many express and tracked courier parcels.
Used for parcels that are too large, heavy or otherwise more suitable for a courier service.
A specific carrier cannot always be selected by the customer because not every carrier can accept every parcel type, size or delivery postcode. Supplier-direct orders may use other carriers, including APC, FedEx or TNT.
Dispatch Emails, Tracking and Delivery Notifications
When an order is dispatched, JGS4x4 normally sends a dispatch confirmation email containing the available tracking information and a copy of the VAT invoice.
The courier will also normally send an email or SMS message using the contact details supplied with the order. Depending on the carrier and service, this may include the expected delivery date, a delivery time window and options for managing the delivery.
Customers should check their email inbox, junk or spam folder and mobile messages after dispatch so that they can make suitable arrangements to receive the parcel.
Delivery notifications and time windows are provided by the carrier for guidance and are not guaranteed. Their availability depends on the selected service, the carrier’s systems and the customer supplying a correct email address and mobile telephone number.
Tracking may initially show only that the carrier has received the parcel information. Further scans normally appear after the parcel has been collected and processed through the carrier’s network.
Orders dispatched in separate parcels may have more than one tracking number and may arrive at different times.
Check the Delivery Address
Please enter a complete and accurate delivery address, postcode, email address and contact telephone number during checkout.
The delivery address is shown in the order acknowledgement and dispatch confirmation so that it can be checked.
Contact us immediately if you notice an error. We may be unable to change an address once warehouse processing or dispatch has begun.
Failed or Uncollected Delivery
The carrier may return a parcel where delivery cannot be completed, the address cannot be identified or the parcel is not collected within the carrier’s holding period.
Where a parcel is returned because of an incorrect address, failed delivery or failure to collect, additional delivery and return charges may apply before the order is resent or refunded.
Safe-Place and Alternative Delivery Instructions
Some carriers allow customers to request that a parcel is left in a nominated safe place, with a neighbour or at another agreed location when nobody is available to receive it.
Customers should only select a place that is secure, sheltered, accessible to the driver and not clearly visible to passers-by. The carrier may refuse an instruction where it considers the location unsuitable or unsafe.
Where the customer expressly instructs or authorises the carrier to leave the parcel unattended in a nominated safe place or other agreed location, the customer accepts responsibility for the parcel once it has been delivered in accordance with that instruction. JGS4x4 cannot normally accept liability for subsequent theft, loss, weather damage or interference at the property.
This does not apply where the carrier leaves a parcel unattended in a location that the customer did not request or authorise. Any such delivery problem should be reported to JGS4x4 promptly so that it can be investigated.
Delivery Area Restrictions
JGS4x4 currently delivers to supported addresses in England, Scotland and Wales only.
We do not deliver internationally or to Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man. This includes BT, GY and JE postcodes.

What is the difference between Economy, Tracked 24 and Express Delivery?
Economy orders use Royal Mail Tracked 48 or a 2–3 working day courier service and are processed after priority orders. Tracked 24 orders receive priority ahead of Economy orders. Express orders receive the highest warehouse priority and are sent using our fastest suitable courier service.
Does Express Delivery guarantee arrival the next day?
No. Express orders receive the highest warehouse priority and are normally sent by a next-working-day courier service, but the actual delivery date is not guaranteed.
Will my order be dispatched the same day?
Orders for stocked products received before 2pm on a normal working weekday are usually dispatched the same day. Orders placed after 2pm may also be dispatched that day if they are processed before the carriers collect. Special order-in, dropshipped and supplier-direct items require additional time.
Does choosing Express Delivery speed up a special-order product?
It does not shorten the supplier lead time. The order receives priority in our warehouse once the product reaches us.
Why is delivery not free when my order is over £60?
The order may contain a large, heavy, hazardous or restricted product, or the address may be in a remote area that attracts an additional carrier charge.
Will I receive tracking and a delivery time?
We normally send tracking information by email when the order is dispatched. The carrier will also normally send an email or SMS with the expected delivery date and, where available, a delivery time window. Carrier notifications and time windows are estimates and are not guaranteed.
What happens if I request delivery to a safe place?
Where you expressly instruct the carrier to leave the parcel in a nominated safe place or alternative location, you accept responsibility once it has been delivered in accordance with that instruction. Choose a location that is secure, sheltered and out of public view.
Can I see the delivery charge without placing an order?
Yes. Add the products to the basket and enter the delivery details during checkout. The available services and charges are shown before payment.
Can I choose which courier is used?
Not normally. We select the suitable carrier based on the chosen service, parcel size, weight, contents and destination. Supplier-direct orders may be dispatched by a different carrier chosen by the supplier.
