Bearmach Land Rover Parts
Important information
Bearmach Is No Longer Trading
Bearmach entered administration and stopped trading in September 2022. New Bearmach-branded products are therefore no longer being produced or supplied through the former Bearmach distribution network.
JGS4x4 may still have limited quantities of original Bearmach stock, but availability reduces as individual products sell out. Where Bearmach stock is no longer available, we can often supply a suitable replacement, recognised branded, OEM or Genuine Land Rover alternative.
A major Land Rover parts supplier
The History of Bearmach
Bearmach was founded in 1958. Its name originally came from the words “bearing” and “machinery”, reflecting the company’s early engineering and component-supply background.
The business became one of the best-known independent specialists supplying replacement parts and accessories for Land Rover vehicles. Its range eventually covered routine servicing, mechanical repairs, restoration work, suspension, steering, braking, body parts and off-road accessories.
Bearmach products were sold throughout the UK and internationally, becoming particularly familiar to owners of Series vehicles, Defender, Discovery, Freelander and Range Rover models.
Our experience with Bearmach
JGS4x4 Was One of Bearmach’s Largest Customers
JGS4x4 bought and sold large quantities of Bearmach parts over many years. The brand formed a significant part of our Land Rover parts range and supplied many products that were difficult to obtain elsewhere.
Bearmach’s closure was therefore especially disappointing for us, its employees, other retailers and the wider Land Rover community.
Our long experience with Bearmach part numbers and product ranges means we can often identify what an old Bearmach reference relates to and help customers locate an available equivalent.
Why Bearmach Was Important to Land Rover Owners
Bearmach helped make older Land Rovers practical and affordable to maintain by supplying both common service parts and components that were becoming difficult to source.
Support for Older Vehicles
The range included many components for Series, Defender, Discovery and older Range Rover models after some original parts became scarce.
Broad Product Coverage
Owners could source service items, mechanical components, body parts, accessories and upgrades through one specialist supplier.
Recognisable Part Numbers
Bearmach references became widely used by owners, workshops and retailers and still appear in old invoices, catalogues and online discussions.
Choice of Specifications
The wider supply range included aftermarket, branded, OEM and other quality options at different price levels.

Can You Still Buy Bearmach Parts?
Some retailers, including JGS4x4, may still have limited quantities of genuine original Bearmach-branded stock acquired before the company closed.
These products are no longer replenished from Bearmach. Once the remaining quantity of a particular item has sold, it is unlikely to become available again under the Bearmach brand.
The individual product page will show the current availability, product description, fitment and applicable warranty information.
What Has Replaced Bearmach?
There is no single company that directly replaced the entire Bearmach range. Most products can instead be sourced from a combination of specialist aftermarket suppliers, recognised component manufacturers and Genuine Land Rover.
Direct Replacement Parts
Quality aftermarket components supplied under another established or specialist parts brand.
Allmakes 4x4
A broad source of replacement, recognised branded, OEM, OE and Genuine Land Rover products.

OEM and Named Brands
Products from manufacturers such as Mahle, Delphi, TRW, Dayco, Elring, Bosch and other recognised suppliers where available.
Genuine Land Rover
Genuine manufacturer-branded parts for customers who require the Land Rover supplied option.
Searching for an Old Bearmach Part Number?
An old Bearmach reference may still help identify the correct replacement, even when the Bearmach-branded product itself is no longer available.
Search the Reference
Enter the Bearmach number, Land Rover number or description into the JGS4x4 website search.
Check Superseded Numbers
The original Land Rover number may have been replaced by a newer reference during the vehicle’s lifetime.
Confirm the Vehicle
Model, year, engine, gearbox, axle and VIN range can all affect whether the replacement is correct.
Information That Helps Us Identify an Alternative
Products Historically Supplied by Bearmach
Bearmach references may still be encountered across many areas of a Land Rover.
Bearmach Frequently Asked Questions
Is Bearmach still trading?
No. Bearmach entered administration and stopped trading in September 2022. The former company no longer manufactures or distributes Bearmach products.
Why are Bearmach parts still advertised online?
Some retailers still have original stock purchased before the closure. Older web pages, catalogues and marketplace listings may also remain visible after a product has sold out.
Are Bearmach parts still being manufactured?
Bearmach-branded products are no longer being produced through the former company. Similar components may still be manufactured and sold under another brand.
Who bought Bearmach?
There was no simple continuation of the full Bearmach business and product range under a single direct replacement supplier. Current alternatives come from several different manufacturers and distributors.
Can I use an old Bearmach number to find a replacement?
Often, yes. Many Bearmach products cross-reference a Land Rover part number that can be used to locate a current aftermarket, OEM or Genuine alternative.
Is remaining Bearmach stock used or reconditioned?
Products sold as new Bearmach stock by JGS4x4 are unused items from stock acquired before the company closed, unless an individual product page clearly states otherwise.
Will another brand’s equivalent be identical?
Not necessarily. Equivalent products can differ in manufacturer, material, finish, kit contents and warranty. Read the complete listing rather than relying only on the cross-reference number.
Can JGS4x4 help identify a replacement?
Yes. Send us the Bearmach or Land Rover part number together with the vehicle details. We will check whether remaining stock or a suitable current alternative is available.
