This uprated heater matrix (DA4744) is a direct replacement for the standard UTP1725 type unit used in Defender models from 1990 to 2006. Featuring a larger core with approximately double the capacity of a standard matrix, it delivers increased heat output and faster demisting.

Manufactured using high-quality vacuum brazed cores with louvered fins and hand TIG welded construction, this unit is built for durability and improved efficiency.

• Designed for late type heater systems with horizontal (straight) inlet and outlet pipes
• Suitable for right-hand drive (RHD) vehicles
• Also fits some left-hand drive NAS specification vehicles
• Not suitable for earlier pre-1990 models with curved downward-facing pipes
• Not suitable for Puma 2.4 and 2.2 TDCi models (2007 onwards)
• Minor modification to the heater box is required for installation
