OEM Land Rover Parts
OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. This means the part is manufactured by a company that supplies components to Land Rover for vehicle production, or supplies parts for Land Rover to sell as genuine dealer parts.
In many cases, an OEM part is the same part as the Genuine Land Rover option, but supplied in the manufacturer's own packaging rather than Land Rover branded retail packaging. This can make OEM parts a very strong choice for quality and value.

OEM parts are often chosen when you want original equipment quality without paying extra for branded Genuine Land Rover packaging.
What Are OEM Parts?
OEM parts are Original Equipment Manufacturer parts. They are made by companies that supply parts to Land Rover for production vehicles or for sale through dealer parts departments.
Original Equipment Manufacturer
OEM parts are manufactured by the same companies that make components for Land Rover when the vehicle is built, or by suppliers that produce components for Land Rover to sell as genuine dealer parts.
This means an OEM part is often produced to the same quality and specification as the equivalent Genuine Land Rover part.
Same Part, Different Packaging
In many cases, the main difference between an OEM part and a Genuine Land Rover part is the packaging. Genuine parts are supplied in Land Rover branded boxes, while OEM parts are supplied in the manufacturer's own packaging.
Because of this, OEM parts are normally less expensive than Genuine Land Rover parts while still offering excellent quality.
Common OEM Parts Brands
OEM parts can come from many well-known automotive manufacturers. The exact brand depends on the product, vehicle model and original equipment supplier for that component.
When OEM Parts Are a Good Choice
OEM parts are often the best balance between quality, fitment and price, especially when you want a recognised manufacturer part without paying for Genuine Land Rover packaging.
Service and Maintenance
Filters, belts, gaskets, sensors and routine service items are often available from trusted OEM suppliers.
Braking Components
Brands such as Brembo, Ferodo, Girling and TRW are widely recognised for braking and chassis components.
Engine and Cooling Parts
Suppliers such as Mahle, Pierburg, Behr, Nissens and Elring are commonly associated with engine, sealing and cooling parts.
Suspension and Driveline
OEM suppliers such as Bilstein, BWI, GKN and Lemförder are known for suspension, steering and driveline components.
OEM, Genuine or Direct Replacement?
OEM parts are usually the closest alternative to Genuine Land Rover parts. They are normally made by recognised original equipment manufacturers and are often supplied in the manufacturer's own box rather than Land Rover branded packaging.
Genuine parts are supplied in Land Rover branded packaging. Direct Replacement or aftermarket parts are usually more cost-effective alternatives from other aftermarket sources. The right choice depends on the part, the vehicle and how important original equipment specification is for the repair.
