OEM Land Rover Parts
OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. This means the part is manufactured by a company that supplies components to Land Rover for vehicle production, or supplies parts for Land Rover to sell as genuine dealer parts.
In many cases, an OEM part is the same part as the Genuine Land Rover option, but supplied in the manufacturer's own packaging rather than Land Rover branded retail packaging. This can make OEM parts a very strong choice for quality and value.

What Are OEM Parts?

OEM parts are manufactured by the same companies that make components for Land Rover when the vehicle is built, or by suppliers that produce components for Land Rover to sell as genuine dealer parts.

In many cases, the main difference between an OEM part and a Genuine Land Rover part is the packaging. Genuine parts are supplied in Land Rover branded boxes, while OEM parts are supplied in the manufacturer's own packaging.
Because of this, OEM parts are normally less expensive than Genuine Land Rover parts while still offering excellent quality.

OEM, Genuine or Direct Replacement?
OEM parts are usually the closest alternative to Genuine Land Rover parts. They are normally made by recognised original equipment manufacturers and are often supplied in the manufacturer's own box rather than Land Rover branded packaging.
Genuine parts are supplied in Land Rover branded packaging. Direct Replacement or aftermarket parts are usually more cost-effective alternatives from other aftermarket sources. The right choice depends on the part, the vehicle and how important original equipment specification is for the repair.
