OEM stands for 'Original Equipment Manufacturer', so this means that the part or component is manufactured by the same company that manufactures and supplies parts for Land Rover when the vehicle was built or to Land Rover to sell as genuine parts from their main dealer parts stores.
In most cases, an OEM part is the same part as you would buy from Land Rover but just not in a Land Rover branded box or retail package intended for sale in a retail environment. Because of this, OEM parts are less expensive than genuine parts but are of the same quality.
