PLACEMENT: Rear
The brake drum rotates with the wheel. When you push your foot on the brake pedal, brake shoes are pushed against the inside of the brake drum, slowing it down. Brake drums like brake shoes do wear over time with use. For safety reasons, always replace brake drums in pairs.
