How to Replace a Discovery 2 Front Wheel Bearing
To install a TAY100060 Discovery 2 front wheel bearing hub you will need to follow these steps:
- Remove the wheel and brake caliper from the front axle of your Discovery 2.
- Remove the brake disc and the ABS sensor from the hub assembly.
- Remove the four bolts that secure the hub assembly to the steering knuckle and pull the hub assembly out.
- Clean the steering knuckle and apply some anti-seize compound to the mating surface.
- Install the new hub assembly, part number TAY100060 with the ABS sensor facing the correct direction and tighten the bolts to the specified torque.
- Reconnect the ABS sensor and reinstall the brake disc, caliper, and wheel.
- Repeat the process for the other side if needed.
