The clutch master cylinder is used in your Land Rover to transfer the movement of the clutch pedal from the driver's foot via the hydraulic fluid to the movement of a piston in the clutch slave cylinder to disengage the clutch. A faulty or leaking clutch master cylinder can make it difficult to engage or change gears.
