Description
This exhaust gas recirculation EGR valve is designed for 2.7 TDV6 engines fitted in Discovery 3, Range Rover, and Range Rover Sport models from 2007 onwards. The EGR valve plays a crucial role in reducing harmful Nitrous Oxide NOx emissions by recycling exhaust gases back into the air intake, helping to cool the combustion chamber and improve emission control. A faulty EGR valve can trigger engine management warnings and cause smoky exhaust under acceleration. While cleaning is possible, replacement is often more effective and necessary to pass MOT inspections.
