Description
The air suspension on Discovery and Range Rover Sports is lovely when working but it can be troublesome! One of the main problems is with the air suspension compressors, which inevitably fail after 3-4 years. These models were originally fitted with Hitachi compressors, but Land Rover later changed to AMK compressors around 2010.
If your original Hitachi compressor fails, you can replace it with another Hitachi or upgrade your compressor to the later, more reliable AMK compressor. This is a complete upgrade conversion kit with everything required, includes AMK compressor, mounting bracket, wiring, new covers and all fixings required.
If you still have the Hitachi compressor, this is the full upgrade kit and not just this compressor. After fitting, the ECU needs to be re-programmed to the latest AMK compressor software using a suitable diagnostic tool.
