Important compatibility note

Not supported by the G4: Range Rover (L322) 2002–2009 and Defender (L316) 2007–2015. For these vehicles, a G3 IIDTool is typically the suitable option.

VIN lock: what it means

Standard diagnostic functions are VIN lock free (use on multiple vehicles for fault reading/clearing). Advanced programming functions such as ECU flashing/programming are VIN locked to one vehicle.
