Handbrake brake shoe set for Defender, Discovery 1, Discovery 2 and Range Rover P38 models with cable-operated transmission handbrake systems.

This brake shoe set is designed for the transmission-mounted handbrake drum fitted to later Land Rover models using a direct cable-operated handbrake system. It replaces the internal shoes that expand against the drum on the transfer box to hold the vehicle securely when parked.

Over time, handbrake shoes can wear, glaze or become contaminated, leading to reduced holding ability, poor adjustment or excessive handbrake lever travel. Replacing the brake shoes restores proper handbrake performance and vehicle safety.

Important:
This kit is suitable for cable-operated transmission handbrake systems. It is not suitable for earlier rod-operated setups (see STC965 for those applications).
