Description
This Exhaust Gas Recirculation EGR valve is designed for Discovery 3 & 4 models equipped with the 4.0 V6 Cologne petrol engine. The EGR valve plays a crucial role in reducing harmful Nitrous Oxide NOx emissions by recycling exhaust gases back into the air intake, helping to cool the combustion chamber and improve emission control. A faulty EGR valve can trigger engine management warnings and cause smoky exhaust under acceleration. While cleaning is possible, replacement is often the more effective solution to maintain engine performance and pass MOT inspections.
