These front brake discs have a special coating to prevent rusting around the edges and the mounting hub for longer. Unlike traditional brakes with an oily coating that needs to be removed before fitting, these coated front brake discs can be fitted straight out of the box. The brake pads will wear the coating away from the braking surface, but the outer edges and hub will remain protected.
