The tow bars on Land Rover's are one of the lowest points, significantly reducing the departure angle and frequently getting caught up while driving off-road. However, removing the tow bar altogether is not always an option for those who use their Land Rover for towing and off-roading. The Terrafirma receiver hitch gets around this problem by providing a strong 2" square 'female' steel box section mounting point known as a 'receiver hitch' fitted high up, near to the chassis out of the way.

The Receiver Hitch allows a range of 'male' attachments to be connected to your Land Rover, including drop plates, recovery points, bike racks, carriers and even demountable winch cradles. The options are almost limitless, opening up to many accessories available. The Terrafirma receiver hitches are designed for your Land Rover and include the necessary fittings and retaining pin. The Terrafirma 2" receiver hitch has enough tolerance to allow a snug-fitting 2" external square box section to be inserted and secured by a heavy-duty pin and safety clip. A drop plate is available separately and provides three levels of height adjustment for a standard two-bolt tow bar. Also available is a machined recovery point to accept a standard bow shackle.
